Krzysztof Wiśniewski says: I think the painter should paint not what he sees, but only what he sees in himself. That’s why, I try to create in my paintings an indefinite, melancholy longing for the distant past.
It is noticeable that Wiśniewski uses a palette of blue, violet and pink colours. His tones in combination with the favorite props, is always the symbolic color. Great example of the meaning of coloring in his paintings is follow:
My blue color is not only a perspective color, it’s a color that does not penetrate deep but pulls away. Blue combined with green become spiritual, relate to the past and future, they fit into anxious longing, sensitivity and loneliness. On the other hand, a series of figures, simply speaking, is an indicator of the uncertainty of the passing time and the particular play of human fate.
Krzysztof Wiśniewski was rewarded many times in national artistic contests. In 2008 he won the Mayor's Prize for painting " "Emptiness". One year later, at the VI Triennale of Fine Arts in Włocławek he received Honorable Mention. In the 17th edition of art. competition "Impressions of Włocławek" Wiśniewski is the winner of the first prize for the painting titled "Meeting”.
